This beautiful farm is located about 15
minutes from San Rafael, but off the main
road so entrance is on a country lane
rather than a paved road.

The husband and wife team currently manage
the production with limited hired help.

TOURIST CABINS

There are three tourist cabins with
barbecue grills for asados and a pool
that are operated during the summer and
occupied for about 90 days per year,
which could be expanded with advertising.
They currently rent for about US$65 a
night. Two are one bedrooms (500 sq ft)
with a capacity of 3 guests and the third
is a 2 bedroom cabin (550 sq ft) with room
for 5 guests.

OLIVE OIL FACTORY
& ARTISANAL PRODUCTS

The farm has an old adobe building
artistically renovated into a production
facility for homemade olive oil and other
natural products. They have a 29-page
catalog and a website they are currently
updating.

They olive oil equipment can press 9 to
10 liters of oil per hour and currently
they produce about 2,000 liters of top-
quality cold-press olive oil which they
sell retail for about USD $17 per bottle.
The amount of oil pressed could be
expanded somewhat, but to increase the
amount substantially would take investing
in additional presses.

Currently all the products are sold in
Argentina, but exporting would be a
possibility for someone with experience
or contacts to do so. The owners have not
explored this option but have had the
opportunity to expand into Chile and
Paraguay with the cosmetics line.

use in the homemade products they sell.
