37 Acres with Netting Structure,
to Plant More Vineyard or Orchard

This 49-hectare (121-acre) farm in La
Resolana is adjacent to a paved road about
16 miles from the center of San Rafael,
in Colonia Elena, Mendoza.

GRAPE VARIETALS

There are 28 hectares (69 acres) of fine
wine grapes under netting:

- 11 hectares (27 acres) Malbec
- 11 hectares (27 acres) Cabernet Sauvignon
- 6 hectares (15 acres) Bonarda

The farm has canal irrigation water rights
for the entire property and two irrigation
wells with a large retaining pond. One
well can pump 150,000 liters of water an
hour and the other can deliver 280,000
liters at a depth of 60 meters using a
submersible pump.

Fifteen hectares (37 acres) have structure
in the form of posts and wire (see photos)
for high netting that can be used for more
vineyard, orchard, olive trees, pistachios
or annual vegetables. Another 10 hectares
(25 acres) are fallow land.

The farm also has 15,000 young vines being
grown so they can be planted when needed
as replacement vines.

INCOME STREAM

The owners market the grapes in the
following three ways:

1) They turn the grapes into wine under
the label "La Resolana" and sell on the
domestic market to wine stores, etc.

This past year they produced 60,000
bottles for sales and distribution.

2) Some of the grapes are elaborated
into wine for bulk sales.

3) The also sell some of the grapes to
local wineries so they have money for
immediate operating expenses.

OTHER

There is worker house that could be
renovated as an owner home, a barn and
two tractors plus equipment (See Photos).
